Tonight, on a short, routine drive to Krispy Kreme to pick up donuts for my homeroom tomorrow, I spotted a vehicle with the Nebraska license plate, "1". I knew it had to be running around somewhere, and I had long wondered what kind of pricey ride I would see it on. Take a guess, Oppo, what kind of car do you think bore this coveted plate?
Check other people's comments to see who's narrowing it down.
EDIT: Axial got it, it was a silver Buick Park Avenue (non-Ultra).

Mazda Miata seems to obvious. Was it a Toyota Camry?

Honda Accord

You are very optimistic. Remember, in Europe, people pay extra for desirable plates. Here in NE, they're $30, no matter what it says.

You're thinking kinda on the right track. It was a generic sedan.

i didn;t know the Mini Fenway Park plates were still a thing anymore
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:22 |

I dunno, I got that off Google

Chevy Malibu.
Or maybe a Camry.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:26 |

It was a GM product.

Damn, that's like half of what NY is.

Cadillac De Ville.

You're reasonably close, actually.

Pontiac G6. That was a GM product right?
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:29 |

I think it was. But no, it wasn't on a G6.

Buick Lucerne
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:31 |

Reasonably close has me thinking either Cadillac DTS or Buick Lucerne...or maybe a Seville.

Doesn't mean there isn't a black market for selling the plates back and forth.

it was used as a fundraiser to build a scaled model of fenway sized for youth baseball. I did some site planning fro it but I dont think it ever went anywhere. The RedSox were on board with it. If it went thru, I would have been responsible for documenting the park for and drawing the construction drawings for the new mini park. I was really looking forward to getting to go all thru Fenway but it aparently failed.

Wait, do they drive anything else in Nebraska?
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:32 |
|
Giving that it's NE, I'm going to say a GT500 or Camaro ZL1.
Edit: Second guess after reading the comments: 2000s Chevy Impala.

You're very close.

Closer still...

Buick Riviera? Oh, one worse: Pontiac Bonneville.

i was looking to see if I could find anything about it now and I dont even think the website is up but i did find this
Jim Holtzman , president of Ace Tickets, paid $31,000 for plate No. 1

No
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:35 |

I will laugh if it turns out to be a LeSabre. So hard.
Fourth guess: Park Avenue. Certainly, it's not an Olds Aurora.

You're getting much warmer.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:35 |

Or you could be me. A 16 y/o lusting after a black on black on black ATS.... talk to me when you're this kinda poor.

Yeah, I saw it afterwards, close though.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:39 |

BUT LUXURY!!!!
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:40 |
|
Somebody got it.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:41 |
|
Woohoo! I have one of those sitting in my garage. With a busted conrod. I know, shocker, a 3800 Series II demolished itself!
Actually, this is the perfect car to have a "1" plate on. No. 1 in giving no fucks!
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:42 |
|
Yeah. Some people drive Cavaliers and get the wheel covers at Autozone.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:43 |

Does no one here read the trades? That is the test mule for Cadillac's new Allante replacement. It will have digital gauges and a top that doesn't seal.

Oops, missed this one. Someone got it.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:54 |

Was it on the generic plate or the Husker plate? I imagine the Husker plate would be more desirable/expensive...
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:56 |
|
Either generic or some other special interest, but not Husker.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 23:01 |
|
If it's luxury you're looking for, I'd probably go for the new C-Class's beautiful new interior.
The ATS has that shitty touch screen anyway.

Our neighbor has "7" on his Porsche Cayenne, and he's not a politician.
