Original plates to the car — she bought it new in ~1993 and has owned it ever since. Very very cool.

Wow, I didn't even catch that!
For those who don't know, around 91 or so, Colorado switched from xxx-000 plates to xxx0000 plates. They switched back to 000-xxx around 2000.

The day they went back to the white plates, Jan 1, 2000, remains a low point in my life. I'll always remember the green plates and the fact that you could tell the county of the car from the plate number. Colorado got a bit more like California with the white plates and it hasn't turned back since.

Never thought about it til just now... I still have my original plates on my 93 MR2. Only four more years and I get Antique plates!
