I was tootling along in my parents' 2007 Highlander - because how else does one move in one of those - when a guy in a perfectly minty early 90s Dodge Stealth with temporary tags used a short slow-vehicle lane to blow by me on the right. But you know, there was enough space, he looked in control, and the motherfucker bought a Stealth, so I ain't even mad.

Don't feel too bad. He's inched himself closer to the inevitable PITA Timing belt job, or the superexpensive PITA engine replacement if he fails to get the belt job done.

Then go faster when you drive on the left. Until then, I'll blow past you on the right.

My car has a timing belt, needed to be replaced at 105,000 miles (it was). What's the big deal? I'm sure they're all a PITA, but I had it done for ~350 bucks.
