The dad in question played DC station WGAY (not kidding) which was Lawrence Welk and similar light listening. I have never ever ridden in a more quiet or comfortable car. White with red interior.

This was the barge I was ferried around in as a kid. Only Dad's was white with a black top, no opera windows, and basic wheelcovers.

Hardly a consolation, but in 8-10 years you will get that call/text/Facebook (if any of those still exist) - "Um, hi, just wanted to let you know if you're in the area we should have dinner. Uh, I just want to talk." She'll have figured out she was an idiot, been taken for a ride, and is now broken-up/divorced. Gotten that call twice, and both times declined the meetup.
