I was hoping to avoid this, but I accidentally bought what is the most aggressive wheel setup possible on a Forester without making it a widebody. So I just bought some BC BR Racing coilovers for an 02-07 WRX or 04 STI. Trying to keep everyone updated on this stupid project of mine haha.
Next is some new camber bolts and possibly lateral links if I can't get the camber adjustability I need.

How'd you like them?

This post (and your progress) is relevant to my interests.

This what happens when you impulse buy the most aggressive wheel setup you can find.

My XT has a bit over 110k miles on stock shocks it and sorely needs some chassis work. I however want to keep the stock ride height with a slightly stiffer spring/shock package. Let us know how well these perform. Perhaps they can be adjusted upwards.

With Forester Specific coils maybe you can adjust it so it's like within an inch of stock height (1" lower) but with these coils I will be at current ride height maybe a bit higher at it's max length.
You should look in to some swift springs, keeps similar to stock ride height but greatly increases the firmness and handling.

I like this. And it reminds me... I need to research BC coilovers for my MS6. Thanks!

They were well built externally, but I dont know what the damping curves looked like. I've experienced what a really great shock can be like now, but they are usually expensive. When my bugeye was nee, the shocks were really well tuned for the factory spring rate. That degraded after about 25k miles though
