It's just the better car
![]() 09/25/2014 at 11:07 |

O rly? So you have driven an SS 1LE and a 2015 GT then?
Because on paper it isn't better, and in sheetmetal it sure isn't better either.

What paper are you looking at? The SS 1LE beats the Mustang in every performance category
A tenth of a second faster to 60. Half a second faster on a figure eight. 6 ft shorter braking distance. .07 more g of lateral acceleration. 1 mpg better city mileage. 20 more pound foot of torque. Doesn't look like an Accord
I'll take the Camaro.
![]() 09/25/2014 at 11:23 |
|
WOW
ONE performance test has the car going a whopping 0.1 seconds faster to 60. And one em pee gee better. That is an excellent reason to make a $40,000 decision without driving them.
The Camaro looks like a cartoon car and the only vehicle out there with worse visibility is the Challenger. It was a dreadful thing to drive. You can keep it.

So you've driven them? Wow, that's awesome, I'd love for your full report!
And no, I wouldn't buy the car before driving both, but I suspect I'd lean Camaro since I like it more. I've driven both Camaros and Mustangs (2011 Camaro and Mustang multiple times each, a 2013 Mustang GT) and frankly the visibility in the Mustang is only slightly better. Both have atrocious visibility.
Besides, if I had $40,000 to spend on a car I'm not buying either of these, I'm buying a C6 Corvette. Or waiting a year or two and buying a used C7.

I've driven the Camaro, and it was crap.
But you don't see me saying the Mustang is the "better car" without having driven both, did you? I just said that on paper I'm leaning towards and Mustang and I think it's better looking...but since I disliked the Camaro so much there is a decent chance I'd like the Mustang more.
The C6 Corvette however, was a bloody fantastic thing to drive.

Semantics. I think you're taking people too seriously on the internet.
