The question is, do I go for the $40 Walmart feet and bar, or justify Thule and Yakima charging nearly $400 for, again, just feet and two bars, no cargo box (another $400...).
I'm not sure.
Have a stanced/riced/I'm not really sure if I like it or not Versa.

Just remember to put some static cling window tint under the feet. It will suck down tight, and keep any scratches on your roof.

I would not trust my personal belongings on the roof of my car to a $40 walmart piece.

Honestly I don't think I would either, but I can't believe the amount of $$ you're paying just for the Thule/Yakima name. I wish Rola made a product for the Note, they are generally a bit more reasonable on pricing.

The correct answer is to go on Craigslist and find someone selling their used Thule or Yakima. Hell, I got 3 sets of the older style Thule (square bars) for free last winter

Not sure if sarcasm, but its not my car so I don't really care. I have a soft spot for three spokes, but I hate dual bolt pattern wheels and the color of these is not my cup of tea.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't yours. I was just playing around. No worries :)

Surely there must be some other middle-of-the-road manufacturers, no? If not, I'd say that's a business opportunity.

I would go name brand or get someone to make you one.

Rola is generally middle-of-the-road, but they don't have a product that fits my car.

I found a rack shop that sold used parts and bought my towers and bars there. $100 for the towers and 80 for the bars, might check to see if you have something similar where you are.

what about nissan oem?
I realize this may be a stupid question, just thought i'd ask

I bought that roof rack. It flew off my car while nothing was on it.

They don't sell one. The only accessories Nissan offer are alloy wheels, mudguards, spoiler, and a front bra. They don't even sell window visors (those black plastic lips that allow you to roll you windows down a bit in the rain) which is a shame because I want those too.

Aw man, nissan need to step up their OEM accessory game

Is the Rhino-rack at $250 not suitable?

Would have to contact them and make sure thats Versa hatch and not sedan, but that's a more affordable quality option. Thanks!

No worries. Has anyone on your Nissan forum found a cheaper place ar can recommend anyone. Maybe see what the likely-hood of interest is with other forum members and approach someone for a 'Group-Buy'. We do it on Briskoda and DetailingWorld if there is sufficient interest.
