I'm not entirely sure it's good enough to considered terrible! I was trying to put up an eBay ad, and I can't even get it to complete the image uploads. Oh well, looks like Cox is gonna get one person busier.

Holy crap. I just tested mine out of curiosity. I'm at school, and I've been impressed with the dorm's wifi so far...

Are you in an apartment comlex or some other type of multi dwelling unit? If so you may not have any good options with Verizon FIOS.
http://my.verizon.com/services/speed… Try running this. If there are settings that need to be changed on your computer it will auto update them and it could improve for you. Verizon guarantees 80% of their promised speed so if you are rated for 4Mb down and .25 up they will say screw you but I don't think even VDSL customers in MDUs are that slow so they would need to fix this.
Basically call them up and say you have slow throughput if the above optimized doesn't fix it. If you have an SFU ONT I can walk you through rebooting it and that fixes most things the optimizer doesn't fix.
