"I dont know what to pick , im between an Audi R8, a Porsche Cayman, and a Mercedes G65 AMG"- A friend told me this on friday. His dad will buy him one of those.

I told him i'd pick the R8 with manual gearbox.

I say this because if its gonna happen, you might aswell enjoy it too. Besides from an enthusiasts point of view, the Cayman GTS is the best option.

Never said the R8 isn't for enthusiasts (enthusiasts can drive whatever they like) I mean that the GTS meets all the requirements for the elitist' among us. light weight, mid-engined, RWD, manual and naturally aspirated plus based on all the reviews its getting its pretty mush won the drivers car of the year.

Well, you did say it was the better option, I know the cayman is cool, but offer me a mid engined roaring V8 supercar and manual greabox and i wouldn't think it twice.

R8 V8 or V10? I'd go V10 with the gated manual.

Well he didn't say that, but judging by the prices of the G65 Mercedes, i think he could go V10. And yes manual is a must.
