Please its not like an American Car manufacture is going to take it to Porsche on their own turf. Sure the Vette's are doing well, but we still don't have a Prototype... In fact the last one I can even remember are Panoz and Cadillac from the early 2000's

Well, Toyota is pretty American, at least in part, with all their facilities and their future Texas HQ.
You can say that after Fuji, this is their second, home race.

Actually The Nurburgring or another German track would be their second home. The USA would be like a cousins house or something like that. ALL of Toyota's LMP chassis's were designed and built by TMG ( Toyota Motorsports GmBH ), in Germany. So still not super american, other than than toyota cars are assembled here....
