Almost every Mini I've looked at on Craigslist has a manual transmission.
Even the normal Coopers.
I'd love to know what percentage of Mini buying actually opt to go manual.
Also, yes, I am looking at Mini Coopers. Whatsittoya?

That's cause all the autos are in the scrapyard. Seriously the auto was trash.

They are German cars with British ancestors, they were built to fail a few times.

IIRC it's about a 40/60 split, which is probably the highest of any marque

I was on the phone with Mini last year and their hold music was just facts about the brand. Said that manuals represent something like 55%. But that number would be higher if you look at older models and exclude the Paceman and that garbage.

Go Mini drivers.

They are the only manufacturer in the US right now (unless I'm greatly mistaken) to offer every single model they make with a manual. Let that sink in for a moment.

I'm pretty sure they are.
Which is rather depressing actually.

Technically Smart...
Or Volkswagen, because its an automated "manual"
Or Porsche.
Sorry, don't want to be that guy. And yes, mini id the only brand of all manuals, which makes it cooler.

1. Doesn't count, they only make one car.
2. Don't make me kill you.
3. *Cough* Macan.

Also, because I think the CVT auto was pretty rubbish. In fact, the first gen MINI is the car I most commonly see with a manual 'box in Hong Kong (including ours). HK is a place where practically everything has an 'auto.
