I just came home after a two week vacation and got a pleasant surprise. Apparently my ISP increased my line speed. I never got more than 50 Mb/s before, now...

Ah, I used to get speeds like that, but we downgraded our package to 'just' 50 Mb/s. Honestly, it makes pretty much zero difference, practically speaking, but I do miss it... Ah well, I'm off to Uni in less than a week; the Internet is gonna be faaaaaast.

6 Mbits up.... Really, they couldn't have increased that as well.

6 Mbs is plenty. After all, the Internet is about taking, not giving.

6 meg up actually makes me jelly... US cable monopolies think 1mb is "broadband"

Haha, true for most of the plebs out there but when you work in the IT field upload is just as important as download.

Come over to the dark side. Where there are true fibre lines. 20/20 robust lines. Only $1400 a month....

I've got two 10gb dark fiber lines at the office*. It's the consumer internet that sucks balls if you don't live in an affluenza exurb.
*by office I mean tier 4 data center
