ugly.
I finally saw one of these in the wild and I was disappointed by it. I'm not a BMW guy at all, but I will acknowledge that they do generally make attractive cars. This i3 isn't one of them. Sorry guys, Tesla set the bar for electric cars you would actually like to be seen driving. I think BMW must have missed the memo on that. But that's just my opinion...(and it happens to be the right opinion!)

I'm the opposite. While I won't call it beautiful, it is very unique and futuristic. The Tesla, for what it is, looks a little boring. Handsome, but the conservative styling doesn't reflect the radical nature of the car.

Yeah I don't understand the i3 at all. From all accounts it's a pretty cool little car, innovative and all that. But holy bejeezus is it ugly, ugliest car BMW has ever made by a laughably huge margin.

So you're saying that the future looks like a scowling pig with an underbite?

I think they took styling ideas from the Aztek.

Agreed. They went full retard with this - and I hate to say it - the i8 as well...Not to say that the i-series (?) cars are'nt striking. They just aren't beautiful.

If that is different from "Aston martin grills on everything", then yes.

It is not classy and it will not age well. It is a design that I feel will look cheap and dated when it is 10 years old. I have seen it several times and there is does not have any flattering angles to view it from. I guess BMW wanted a statement car and that is what they designed.

IMO any time a designer attempts to make a car look too "futuristic" the design looks weird and doesn't age well.
