May your tears taste as bitter as your IPAs. I swear they ate a bag of Warheads and thought, "How can we make a beer version of this?"

Bitter does not equal sour. Sour beers... now those... those are amazing.

I'm going to continue to be a prat and drink Paulaner Hef and Angry Orchard. Now, if the European wheat harvest has a bad year or we take a hit on apples, I'm fucked.

Do the sour beers also come in EXTREME AMOUNTS OF ONE PARTICULAR FLAVOR BECAUSE WE'RE EXTREME?

Meh, I'll just switch to German beers. But that probably means I should go buy my barley for the winter season brewing tomorrow and hoard as much as I can.

All beers have variants of that. Some sours are just mildly sour with other flavors which mix nicely. I tend to favor more even keeled brews if my recent drinking is any indication. Balance and flavor profile...
Check out some of the Berliner Weisse examples out there for a nice intro into mellow sours (Bell's Oarsmen is a good starting place for a domestic).
