How was it? I am thinking about going this weekend or the next, and want to know if its an all day thing or just a 1-2 hour deal.

I've been to a different car exhibit there, and it was definitely not an all-day thing. Make plans to go to the World of Coke and The Varsity as well! (unless you live around here and that's nothing special anymore. I've lost track of who the Atlanta Jalops are.)

Just a 1 or 2 hour deal, but it's super cool and totally worth seeing. Definitely go!

I don't recall what the Dream Cars exhibit is like, but I went to one at the High (possibly a traveling exhibit) that had Steve McQueen's Jag and a Delage D8 among others. Swanky.
I'm a semi-Atlanta Jalop, as I go to ATL frequently and went to GT. I think only a fraction of the Atlanta Jalops are on the Oppo map, though.

Was that the Allure of the Automobile exhibit? The only specific car I remember there was a Tucker Torpedo that was, if I recall, the only one in the world that is regularly driven in traffic. I think the owner said he uses it to take his family to church every week, or something like that. But yeah, that's the one I saw and it was pretty awesome.

The "wat" feature that made it possible for me to remember the D8 later (after having forgotten what it was) was the heart shaped license plate window. So weird.

If only new cars were more daring like that.

I vaguely remember going to the World of Coke, and want to stop by again, so I'll make sure to include that. Thanks.

No problem! It's smaller than you'd expect, but it's well worth it for the tasting room alone.

Checking in from Marietta! It was a pretty quick walk-through. I enjoyed it. As a soon-to-be former mechanic, the thing that jumped out at me was the craftsmanship & attention to detail. Also, the 1934 Edsel Ford Model 40 Special Speedster, 1935 Bugatti Type 57S Aerolithe & the 1947 Norman Timbs Special were the stars of the exhibit for me.

The hosts of the CarStuff podcast from HowStuffWorks went and have done multiple episodes on it.

Even though I'm not an Opponaut, I went to it last weekend. It is definitely a couple of hours experience. Also the 918 is mind blowing to see in person, at least it was to me. You should definitely go see it though and soon because, I think the exhibit closes September 14th for some reason.

I have been twice and definitely recommend seeing it. Go right when the museum opens an you'll have the exhibit basically to yourself.
