Cool writeup !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! - a 17-year-old in NJ and his 1962 Chrysler Newport that he bought with money earned through an unofficial pinstriping apprenticeship. Good to see (at least a few of) the kids are alright, even if he did lower the damn thing for some reason. Apologies if it's already been shared.

Someone get him here on Oppo. He needs to be one of us!

But he doesn't drive a FiST, so therefore he cannot be One Of Us ™.

It really bugs me that hes not standing in the middle of the car. Also this kid is cooler than me.

I applaud him lowering his car because it is HIS CAR AND THAT IS WHAT HE WANTED.
Not everyone wants a bone stock plain just like everyone else car....... Even if it happens to be a very old classic that not everyone else has. We know you love your bone stock Miata, or your ugly, brown, diesal station wagon, but some of us want more.

I don't either, I thought it was an unusual factory option at first glance. At least he took the time to make the lines straight.

Tell me about it. It still kills me that I grew up near an old-school shade tree garage and never took the initiative to go ask for a job as a bored kid.

As the former owner of a '78 Lincoln Continental Mark V, I cannot fathom why he'd want to lower the car. With such long front & rear overhangs, he's going to be scraping pretty much every driveway entrance, and he may end up beaching it on a sharp hill crest. I remember scraping all the time at stock ride height.

Nice pinstriped toolbox.
NYT's style also cracks me up sometimes. The 17-year-old is "Mr. De Liberto" no fewer than 15 separate times.
