A little earlier today I was almost hit as I backed out of my parking spot. It's a busy, packed lot so I couldn't see the oncoming car, as it was blocked by the Escalade parked next to me. As he passed, I could tell he was going somewhere in the area of at least 25 mph.
So here's my question, how fast do you go in parking lots packed with cars?

15-ish.

12ish. But in a higher gear so there's enough load on the engine and you get some exhausty goodness

10-15. I've seen people cooking it through parking lots at double that. For some reason these almost always are SUVs.

Pretty slow. I'm terrified of a kid running out in front of the car so I like to play it safe.

I heard it once from an officer's mouth that parking lots, here at least, are governed to 15MPH unless otherwise marked.

Ditto. Save it for the track.
