Ever since the 2015 Mazda2's unveiling, I've thought that it has a cuter interpretation of the Kodo front fascia - there's the larger headlight housings, the wide-eye LED accents, and the more rounded grille. I figure that something similar could work on the ND, since most Miata iterations go for a friendly look.
I feel it'd be somewhat better than the render from yesterday - the grille in particular seems a bit too aggressive IMO.

I could go for that. The MX-5's always been cute; I'd rather they didn't decide to go all hyper-masculine to appease the 'hairdresser's car' people.

If it looks like it's tripping out on some some strange drug, I'll never buy one. I wasn't really planning on buying one at all actually.

I wasn't particularly keen on the front grille in Mazda employee's render (not necessarily meant to indicate the production car, of course) from yesterday for that reason - I felt it just took the current NC and just amped that up.

That car is friendly? It looks pissed ._.

I figure it's a friendlier look relative to those of the Mazda3 and Mazda6, LOL.
I think the aggression it does have is due mostly to the front bumper. I keep trying to picture it without the lower grille and do whatever else is needed to tone that down, but it seems like I'd end up with a similar result to that rendering. I suppose my idea wasn't so good after all.

Are we talking about the 2 or the Miata? I was referring to the 2 haha.
