I know someone meanwhile in ohio'd you, but in place people want to live, outside Detroit. I just bought a 4 bedroom 2000 sq foot house with a 2 car garage last week for under 200k. With taxes and insurance I'm not even hitting 1250 a month.

In StuyTown, you can get remodeled apartments that come with a community that has an ice skating rink, outdoor market, designated hot spot, fitness room, play areas and basketball courts. In New York, all of these additional amenities are rare and if available are usually with very expensive developments. This is a good deal.
