Picture of the ship she's on. ETA at NYC VPC is Sept. 17th. Then a week or so to make it to the dealer in Va...assuming there's no bullshit "hold" for a "synchronized release" (BMW NA swears there's no plan to hold cars at the VPC). On a side note, I did a VIN search of the first 400 i8 VINs using W&W's Track&Trace system and only there appear to only be four i8s on the water, bound for the US. I don't want to jinx it but (excluding the celebrity deliveries at Pebble Beach), mine appears to be one of the first customer cars to make it across the pond.

I have an idea: BTU's Traveling i8

You send the i8 around the country visiting all fellow Opponauts and then we can take pictures with it doing things. It's a spin-off of the Traveling Torchbug.

Why didn't you do a Euro Delivery? I have seen some awesome videos in the interwebs of people going up to Stelvio pass and other places. I intend to do that with the next M car I buy..

You can't Euro Deliver "i" cars. Different charging plugs and charging standards. Plus I don't have the time with work/patients.

Very nice. I spotted one at the grocery store last night. But I live 20 minutes from the BMW plant in SC so it is likely a company car. Looks like a fun ride. Please don't take parking tips from this guy!
