This, this is true. I only have to walk across 10 mile to get to my classes; so 10 minutes tops. How big is GV campus?

Split campus. I have classes in Allendale and classes in Grand Rapids. Next semester even though I live in Allendale 4 of my 5 classes will be in Grand Rapids.

Even better, that half an hour can easily turn into an hour during the winter.

Depends. Even though they run frequently its not uncommon that I will need to stand for the entire ride downtown. But they are relatively clean, and dont really smell, so thats nice.

Grand Valley. Its in the west side of Michigan near/in Grand Rapids. I like to call it the biggest university you've never heard of.

It could be worse, that's for sure. Sounds like some nice city buses for the most part. Assuming traffic isn't bad on a regular commute between Allendale and GR, having a car would definitely help a lot; if not for ease of transportation, at least for privacy and personal space.
