This exclusive image captured by Oppositelock corespondents in Japan offers a clear look at the new MX-5 GT allegedly going on sale in 2015.

While we have yet to receive confirmation from Mazda, this exciting development is rumored to feature an all-new exhaust setup adding only 50 extra pounds over the previous version. The 2016 MX-5 is also said to feature heavier 19" wheels and a solid steel chain-link steering wheel as standard equipment on the new GT trim level. A stunning new hood scoop adorns the GT, despite the engine receiving no updates for the 2016 model year.
