Okay so as most of you probably know the C7 stingray is an amazing car, many of neighbors have them and are great but just don't have enough power. My stepmom has seen the C7 Z06 and it's low price tag of $78k, now she's owned 3 Z06's before and is really interested in getting the C7 Z06, but she also loves the F Type. Would you guys rather own a F Type S or a C7 Z06? She would get the convertible F type, and the Z06 would of course be a hardtop manual.

I think even if we were comparing the Z06 against the F Type R, I'd still choose the Z06.
Mainly because Manuél.

I absolutely adore both of these cars, but I have to say I'd probably go with the Vette. I've loved Corvettes since I was a little kid, and, even though I may not jump to it everytime I'm asked to "pick any once single car to own forever", that love's matured into a state where I always have the Vette in mind, like an old girlfriend you can't really ever forget.

Honestly I can choose. Both awesome cars unless the F-Type was the Vert one I would go copue all day and make it the F-Type R

Does the C7 Z06 have a fixed roof? Either way Z06. It's just better in virtually every way

These cars are in no way similar. I believe the Vette's hard top is removable., and it is much faster than the Jag. I don't believe anybody would cross shop these two but I'd take the ZO6.

The Jag would likely be a better DD but I'd take the zo6 because it seems like a better drivers car.

Hey there, Stepmom. How are you today? I'm great, thanks for asking. Just about to jump in the pool.
As one of the more mature commenters here, I must urge you to choose the Corvette. It is a far more superior vehicle to the Jaguar and has been declared as such by a few different publications (Top Gear being one of them). I doubt that you would be disappointed with it.

As a track day car, meaning the car with the highest capabilities, I'd choose the Z06.
The F-Type is probably not as good a car. But it creates a far larger emotional desire in me, automatic or not. If it were my money, it'd be the F-Type all day long. It just seems more exotic and exciting. And it's the best-looking car on sale in the US right now, not counting Aston Martins.

I'd have the jag on looks alone personally. I know it's not gonna be as fast, but it is a very stylish and very respectable car.
I'll put it to you like this; I wouldn't trust myself in a Z06, but I would in an F-Type

I would choose the Z06 without hesitation. It's raw, it's capable, it comes with the same options (convertible/coupe and manual/auto) as the regular C7, and it will certainly be more reliable in every way. Because of all that, it will be a better value for the money.
The C7 seats are also damn good and I love the cockpit layout. Go with the 3LT carbon fiber trim, please.
I say all this while thinking that the F-Type is prettier. It is prettier. However, the Corvette makes me want to go out and drive .
