So, this is embarrassing, but it's the Friday before Labor Day so fuck it! I've never actually followed anyone here, because I'm an analog kind of guy, until just now when I accidentally clicked follow when it popped up over Andrew Collins' avatar. And I'm not sure what that does, other than increase that person's follow count and give them warm feelings on the inside. So, tell me!

They show up in your private view and followed view, and they get a fancy check mark on their avatar when you see them.

I do. Regularly. It is a wonderful way to keep up with the folks I follow. (Mind you, I participate on a LOT of different blogs / spaces: Jalopnik (and it's other primaries), Oppo, GT, Odeck, BackTalk, ClashTalk, io9, Gizmodo, Jezebel, Mezzotempo, Photography, and like seeing posts from the Product page and from folks in help/dev).

I use it occasionally. Mostly to get to my drafts since I usually have about 10 articles saved at any given time that I never finish. I also follow a few people not on oppo and use that to see if there's any good content.
