Yes. Yes. GIVE IT TO ME. This is a fully track prepped BMW M3, and it is on sale for less than $20,000. It's also had very few miles put on it. Sure, it probably was driven quite hard, but it appears this guy did it right.
Pictures are Kinja'd. Le sigh.
Give it to me. Give it to me now.

YES PLEASE
I don't even like the E46 but this shit is so fly.

Right there with you. Not a huge fan of the E46, but this just looks so well done. That interior is so clean. And honestly, it looks reasonably streetable (cage aside), even if not on a daily basis.

Exactly! Slapping street tires on this thing will probably make it street legal. I'd daily the shit out of it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE IT TO ME

That price is stupidly low. RRT is a great shop, so whoever picks this up is getting a solid car.

I hate to be Buzz Killington, but wouldn't you need a steering wheel with an airbag? And "normal" seatbelts?
![]() 08/28/2014 at 18:18 |
|
You don't need either of those things.
That's like saying cars from the 50's can't be driven on the street because they don't have anything but lap-belts and no airbags.
![]() 08/28/2014 at 19:00 |

No, I thought there were laws for newer cars saying that newer cars need those things.

You're wrong!

My 51 doesn't even have lap belts. It's on my list of things to do.

YES! Just like F-Types or 458 Speciales!

Well then, once I become a trillionaire I will DD a WRC car.

I plan on DDing this because fuck all logic.

Ok, I need to change majors ASAP.

I think it's about $60k out the door for a complete one. But I'm still unsure of it's road legality in the US because it's built in England.

... Once I become a gazillionaire, I'll bribe the government into getting rid of all importing laws.
![]() 08/28/2014 at 19:42 |

I'd do that too.

I've gotten used to it. It was a white knuckle experience at first going 65-70 mph on little 2 lane roads in rural Colorado. Now that we are in Atlanta I'm lucky to be going 45mph.

You must've been just constantly shitting your pants. Dear god.
![]() 08/28/2014 at 23:57 |

YES! The speed limit was 65mph but as with most roads everyone goes 10 over. So a 140mph impact if anything went wrong. Those roads had no shoulder either. It was pretty common for people to drop a tire off the edge, over react and end up in the opposing lane, or losing it and/or rolling. My closest call was when someone pulled out from a side road to cross the road i was on, right as I was approaching at 70 mph. 4 drum brakes don't stop anything very fast. Luckily they worked enough for me to miss her by what could only of been milimeters as she crossed.

I wish I could buy it too, most cars with this mileage sell for $30k at the very least.

My only concern would be the condition of the rear subframe. Hopefully the "additional upgrades" are subframe reinforcement and VANOS bulletproofing.
