In looking for 917 engine bays for the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! post I came across this:

Yes...that is a design for a mid engined beetle with a 917 transplant...

This is beautiful. I need to get one of these.
EDIT: I just noticed this, this isn't the regular 917 engine. This one has twin turbos on it! This is the Can Am flat 12, that made close to 1600hp. . .

I completely missed that...the NA 12's that put out 600hp would have been fine, the turbo just...i am at a loss of words...crazy
