Overlanding and the family.

It's pretty obvious I like overlanding, and there are lots of reasons why, but the biggest is summed up in this latest video from XO.

This weekend I'm taking my little girl out camping with my in a remote part of the Uintas and I can't WAIT! I also can't wait for my kids to all be a little older so the whole clan can come. Given what happened !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I'm not taking that little stinker of an 11 month old out again until she learns to sleep better.

on horses? never. Horses and I have tried to get along, but we don't. As soon as she is a little older (5-6) I plan on doing something bigger though, couple of days kind of thing.

Horses are dicks. One of my friends does some cattle roping, so he has a lot of horses. One night in high school, we were out goofing off in his field and he lost his phone. We searched for a while and after a while I felt like I was being followed. I was. I turn around, and within inches of my face was a horse breathing on me. Keep in mind this was in the middle of the night, and the horse was buckskin colored, so it almost glowed. Scared the shit out of me.

Do what I did. Just keep bringing up what a cool car it is, then say "Oh, I didn't tell you? I'm going offroading now that I have it".
IF she doesn't kill you, you're good to go :)
(Mine just keeps reminding me that SHE doesn't like to wheel or camp.)

3 weeks ago when I was installing my CB coax, she came outside to ask what I was doing now? "Just getting it ready for my Xmas/NYE trip to Big Bend" I said...

"You WILL be back by New Years Eve cuz I won't be spending it alone" she said.
Two 8 hour days of driving and 4 days out in the wilderness wheeling my rig! WhooHooo!
