some tough damage but it is the right price for a targa if you can fire it up and it doesn't piss oil too much

My brother lives not to far from there - he might check it out. Will need to find a good local indie shop for a PPI if it gets serious, for sure. How easy is it to get that wing off? Would be worried about rust underneath. Wouldn't mind have a driver that is a little beat up, and slowly repairing and improving it over time. Doesn't seem like a bad investment long term, either.

The Hagerty number are for the Targa; I assume the Hemmings (below the link) are all 911s that year.

If your are around Saint Louis, take it to St. Charles Foreign Car. The head mechanic is restoring a similar vintage targa, and they do great work on any car
