U.S. spec Peugeot Mi16 in decent shape. Close and cheap. Someone go buy this before I figure out a viable plan to hide this from the Mrs.

Those seats are awesome.

Yeah I could have totally gotten away with it if the Mrs. told me to buy some new furniture before she left. It would go something like this: "Honey, Macy's charges for delivery and these are way more comfortable and the box they came in just happens to be a sweet, sweet Peugeot."

Call and tell her you are going to buy some original, from France, vintage french love seats. Then ask if its ok.

That's awesome. And it's my favorite color. Also, I had a Hot Wheels car Peugeot 405 when I was a kid.

Oh, I know that feeling. I've been hoping this will go for silly money, way out of my price range, so I won't be tempted:

Can I post pics again yet?

It looks practical enough - I guess it's because you own a car already?

Luckily for me this is one situation where the 25 year import ban actually protects the American public.

I'm living proof that giving your kid Majorette die-casts leads to an unhealthy appreciation of French automobiles.

Owning a Peugeot in the U.S. is the definition of impractical, even if I didn't have a couple of toys already. Haven't been sold in the U.S. since 1991, and very few 405's were sold here.

Argh! If I didn't already have far more cars than is reasonable, I would fly out and snap that up in a heartbeat. I've spent a lot of time behind the wheel of its Citroën-badged cousin, the BX 16V, and although the 405 lacks the BX's hydropneumatic suspension and general bizarreness, that engine and chassis are just so unbelievably perfect that I'd love to have one again.

I owned one of these back in 2006/07, it was a lot of fun but not the most reliable.
The very revable engine with its 7500rpm redline made it feel faster than it really was.
