There will never be a car produced now that will ever sound this good.

Well to be fair, that was produced around the same time as the Murcie. As far as current production supercars/hypercars(whatever the hell people call them now) , it is all subpar.

Remember the Carrera GT? That thing sounded amazing!!

I wonder if I can get my dad in on this. He always loves exotics so he might love to own a Lamborghini with me. . . he just won't know that he will never get to drive it >:)

I'd cripple my family's financial situation if it meant V12 Lambo.

I dunno, I think there are plenty of new cars (including the replacement for that) which sound just as good.

I was reading something the other day that you might find interesting. Ferrari 458 owners are reporting that their cars have less crackles and pops after an ECU update was run during maintenance. The update made the transmission smoother but also made the engine sound less cool. Apparently Ferrari did an update that reduces emissions but hurts sound.

I guess they eliminated the crackles and pops. Which isn't too bad. As long as I get to keep the power! I always thought they seemed a bit fake, particularly those pops during shifts.

Also, fun fact the 458 has a compression ratio of 14.1:1 Which means with straight pipes it will be OBNOXIOUS.

But I like the crackles and pops :( It's my favorite part of driving my Dad's F430. It might be fake but it doesn't sound fake when you're driving. It helps entertain you and makes it easier to have fun without going twice the speed limit (which puts you at risk of dying in a jail cell)
