1979 Ford Fairmont Wagon, 2.3L 4, 4 on the floor, doesn't run ad says it needs a new fuel pump and windshield, I'd say it needs a 5.0L and a 5-speed swap. In Anaheim, California being sold as is with no reserve. B !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Blood?
needs fixing, too

It's surprising, isn't it, that we haven't read about someone entering a squaremont in LeMons. Good call.

I'd slap on a Mercury Capri front end, turbo 2.3 from an SVO and live like a king.

drop right in there for sure. Good plan. Capri front end would make it!

Junkyard 351 swap. Bigass hood scoop to fit it. Rattle-can (but tasteful) paint, 5-speed manual on the floor, DGAF about the rust. Hoon to the end of time.

The hood scoop isn't necessary. But I'll take it anyways.

It only came with a 302, so I assumed that if you put in a taller-deck 351, the intake would stick up over the hood (from what I've heard, this is why you can't just stick a 351 in a fox-based Mustang, they intake sits way too high). There's a number of companies out there that make short-ram intakes designed to fit under the hood, but I would take Occam's razor to this problem:

It's too early in the morning to find a proper picture of a hood scoop and/or hole in the hood, so a cowl will do.

It should still be fine with out a hood scoop. The hood is higher on the Fairmont and doesn't slop down towards the front as dramatically.

For some reason, I assumed that it would have more or less the same front end as the Fox Body mustang.
