Photo Dump (Most of these were taken afterwards at Fujimi because everyone was too spread out for any good shots. Enjoy.)
EDIT - Sorry about the omission Cherry man, i guess you got lost during the copy and paste. If any one else got lost, please tell me.

It appears he forgot to include you in the point standings. This was written last night after the race. I believe you were ahead of Higu. Not by much, maybe a point.

Sorry about that, you got lost in copy/paste. Fixed.

Really bummed I missed this. Didn't get back from the street survival program where I was instructing until way later than I thought. I was too exhausted. Extra bummed because I configured an M3 GT2 for this race and got in some practice Saturday AM.
What were the lap times like? I wonder if I would've been competitive running 1:59s. I didn't try it with any car other than the BMW...

Can we a get a Stewards' warning issue to my apartment complex for the closed NAT type?

you would have been battling me and vancen for 4th

Apparently I'm terrible at picking cars capable of a competitive lap time in these things. I was really wringing out the M3 to put down a 1:59 on an empty track. What tends to be fast? The Ford? I'd like to give myself a shot at winning if I can actually find time to get in on a race!

The fact that Kampf's car is too far to the right in that first photo dump picture is forever going to mess with me and my OCD.

hah I just noticed that.

I hear you. My SLS is never quite fast enough, but I know my driving isn't perfect. The Ford GT is quite fast because it is older therefore more mods can be done to it to make an 800 car (this seems true of others it's age). It would be nice if the top finishers would dial it back, but I don't expect nor demand it.

Yeah, well I learned my lesson the hard way for our LeMans race that we did in the very beginning (perhaps you remember I was the idiot who ran both of the full races with my Fanatec wheel/pedals for a total of like 3 hours of driving time). I drove the Flying Lizard 911 RSR (which I love) and my pace even with clean air was a full 10 seconds a lap slower than the leader. Silly me. I think the restrictions have been tightened up significantly since then, but there still seems to be a significant spread. I hope that in the next one my driving - not my choice of car - will determine whether I finish at the front or back of the pack.

We may need to tighten up the field somehow last night we only had 6 cars I really hope we aren't loosing people to the fact that a few are out pacing you by 10 sec. Maybe put the fast guys in newer not quite as quick cars like the z4. They should have the skill to stay competitive but not as much speed to be 30 sec ahead in a few laps.

Well the only race I did was the Le Mans event so I don't know if the gapping was quite as bad in the more recent ones. I guess you and vancen would know about that maybe?
I do it for fun so it's not like I would skip out on the event just because I wasn't likely to win, but since I'm not really tied to using the 911 that I initially used, I just felt like it was smart to try to pick a more competitive car for the next one. I think the M3 was probably a step in the right direction, but still not quite enough to get me to the front. I'm not going to say my driving is awesome or anything, but I track an M3 in real life so I think my skill level is at least "adequate" lol.

The top guys are usually at least 5+ sec faster than me and I know I'm usually 5+ faster than guys behind me. Vancen and I are usually pretty even with a slight edge to him and we have great battles for position (like 10 plus lap tooth and nail battles) My main hope is that we can have that for the whole field, but that is difficult given the gap in driver skill. So it's hard to find a delicate balance between having it fun for everyone or ruining the fun for the better drivers, when imposing a rule change. It's not bad the way it is, but I can't help but feel the experience would be great for everyone if the field was tighter.
That aside the more the merrier. I hope you make it to the next race in a couple weeks.

I actually do have a mic, but I can't use it. Whenever I plug it into my steering wheel, it cause everyone else to echo and make just about every word unintelligible. I'm not sure if the wheel or the mic is the problem.

Race at Nurburg, photos at Fujimi? I'm jealous, looks fun. Can a brother get in on this series? If so, what class/style am I shooting for?

Rules here. There are a few cars not allowed, but basically, R3 800 GT3 cars.

Nice. I'll get a 911 RSR tuned up. My gamertag is ACESandELGHTS (note the L in ELGHTS). I'll try to get an invite or two out to people so I can locate you.
What time is Indy starting Monday?

ill send the invites to night or tomorrow. Also, the race is Sunday... At 9PM eastern time. Also, the RSR is a beast. I've been tuning one and its almost faster than my regular and I have way less time in the Ultimate Beetle.

One last question: Indy Road Course, correct? I mean, of course, but didn't want to show up with people with massive final gears speeding around like NASCAR.
