And it seems that I missed something regarding changes to the FP commenting and whatnot.
Can someone please explain to me what's going on? Will everyone be getting their picture posting abilities back?
On a related note as to why I was gone all day: Riding a jet ski with almost as much power as a Ford Fiesta is the most fun thing I've done in quite some time.

ahh, ok.
I was aware of the problem (awful), and the solution makes sense.
This means we get picture posting abilities back, correct?

Cool, that works for me. I don't think I'm followed by Jalopnik, but in all fairness I don't comment that much, I just read.
Just as long as those nasty pics and gifs are gone and everyone's Neighbors cousins' dogs' boyfriends' stop making $284946 a month by working from home, I'm alright.
