Kinja Deals, which isn't a place to buy porn GIFs at low, low prices, has a link to a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that will cook a complete breakfast sandwich in five minutes. This is what John Hancock and Samuel Adams envisioned. This is the fulfillment of the promise of America.

This contraption is sitting on our counter, and it's used everyday by the egg-eaters in the household. You need to find an English muffin with the right density to insure the egg cooks thoroughly, but once you get the right ingredients...

All in all, would recommend.

Takes me about five minutes to make two of the same sandwiches in a skillet. I don't see the point.

You don't have to use the stove or clean a skillet.

But you have to use an outlet and clean this contraption

The flat skillet part slides out, so you just have a tiny circle and two tubes to wipe down.

We have one like that at my office, that also toasts bread.

I wonder if this would be a thing for a stretch of a couple of years with a kid who can work appliances (toasters, microwaves, etc.) but you might not yet want them working the stove top. "You are now old enough to get your own breakfast: ingredients in the fridge, stack them like this, turn it on, clean it when you're done if you want breakfast tomorrow, too." $24 training wheels for cooking, in a way.

So those of us who have non-sandwichy breakfasts as just out in the cold as usual, huh?

How about a Belgian waffle/omelet maker?

Eh, I like Cuisinart's Griddler better. I can swap out the grill plates for griddle or waffle plates as needed.
