I like them, more power/parts than the stock powerplant, but I wouldn't consider one that didn't have an engine bay photo.

I guess it's good if you want something that's reliable and powerful. But why would you buy an old Jag if you want reliable and powerful?

Synchronicity: one of our Opponauts bought a Jag within the past month which has now shat itself, and he is now contemplating LS...

I agree why buy that car if you want a chevy powertrain ?

I'm not sure about these . BUT ! The guy who made my swap kit for the LS into a 280z is the same guy that started doing these jagrolets 30 years ago. JCI in dallas is the shop name.

I've got a thing for Jaaaags, but know enough to fear them.

It says something that this is a major business:

I thought Volvos preferred Ford swaps.

Scroll through, it's got engine bay photos. Looks pretty clean, too.

I didn't see them; disregard my comment

There is a Volvo V8 club here in Houston and it's really a even mix between them

Interesting. Every single one I've seen out here was running some kind of Ford in it...must just be a regional preference, I guess.

Do not want. I know some people don't like the hassle of keeping an old XK engine running, but in this day and age it's really not that difficult.
I can't endorse an engine swap where the prime motivation is laziness*.
*power and parts cost are also factors, but by the sounds of things the prime reason is 'I can't get it to run'

It might be easier and possibly cheaper in the UK where you are over here parts for Jaags are stupidly expensive, especially if you use a Jag certified mechanic....For me it's all about the bodywork. Those cars are just too pretty to let rot away.
