as far as i understand, if youre a regular commentator and you create posts you can put images in, but if youre commenting you cant.

It's a bummer, but as I saw someone quite literally eating shit in the comments of an io9 post an hour or so ago, I can understand why they're doing it. Still, as roughly ninety percent of my comments involve pictures, I'll be waiting with some anticipation for them to find a more permanent solution.
