BMW needs a sedan version of the 2 series STAT. The 3series has become to big. I thought I read the new 1 series was going FWD, if thats the case than they need a 2series gran coupe STAT. Could compete with the new A3

I signed up for the UDE last month but never received any confirmation, was I supposed to just show up at Metlife? I read that they are coming back to NY/NJ in October so I don't want to miss the next one.

So, I was just about to take issue with your "REAL. RACING." comment, but then I thought about it, and autox is just as real as any racing purely against a course (rally, hillclimbs, etc.). Thanks for helping me set my mind right.

"almost crashed into the crowd" - holy hell...

The car looks great - classic BMW proportions (in spite of modern safety regs). I'm 6'1" - what would rear leg room be like behind someone my size?

It was pretty good, the guy that was last on that sheet, Travis was 2in taller than me and I'm 6'4" and he sat in the back pretty easily when we did the first lap.

Yeah, my wife and I loudly gasped, it was a bit scary of a moment. But one of the instructors actually told us that he had been in the passenger seat of an event where the driver died going full throttle towards a wall! That would be scary.

Damn. I'm not sure I'd every be trusting enough to be an instructor on track or at an event like this. You're literally putting your life in a stranger's hands... Good on them for loving the sport enough to take the risk.

Yeah I checked :( my spam folder is filled with "Enlarge up to 12 inches" even though some people might think a BMW will do that, it's definitely not from them. I'll try my luck with the Citifield NYC event in October.
