Instead of the at least halfway intelligent play between suspect and police, they seem to be a lot more focused on cheap, artificially-feeling melodrama and gunplay. I know they're setting up for a spin-off but it's come at too high a cost for the parent show.
Also, in Hollywoodland, cops need remedial classes on what the function of handcuffs are for.
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

I don't know how you've stuck with the show this long. The Closer was great. I stopped watching about three episodes into the first season of Major Crimes.
