For me

jugs

pumpkin

tranny

use any of these and I think you're a moron who uses baby names for things as well, like calling a bottle a bahbah or when you have to piss you tinkle and when you eat too many microwaved nachos your tummy hurts.

I don't know about jugs, but a pumpkin can refer to a differential.

Jugs for a two-stroke at least refers to a cylinder. Most two-strokes have a cylinder that comes off the block, thus having a somewhat jug-like shape. Expanding that colloquialism to all cylinders may be done by some people, I don't know.

tranny is pretty terrible.

I will admit I do say Foggies when referring to awesome fog lights.

I think the British names for car parts are funny - bonnet, boot, backbox.

Unless the car is actually a "Dynamic" as its model name, and is pronounced all French-like.

'Shitbox', mainly. It's not really used where I live, and as 'shitboxes' - that is, small hatchbacks - are one of my favourite varieties of cars, I've always found it a little off-putting when I see it on this site, even as a term of endearment.

I'm not the greatest fan of 'econobox', either.

It's a tagline, but 'puts the fun back into driving'.

It's usually attached to cars in advertising campaigns. Cars that have a mechanism for getting better fuel economy by sucking the soul from their drivers and running on that in some kind of tediousness-based hybrid system.

"twist" for torque, "twisties" for turns, "lump" for engine. Then there's...

"import" for Japanese econobox you want grouped in with German sports cars,

"German engineering" for VW econobox you want grouped in with BMW/Audi/Merc/Porsche,

"waste energy" in reference to using your pistons to push air through a turbo,

"sporty" which is used in inverse proportion to a car's performance
