Ah, I just noticed that. Huh this has got me thinking now. Could they potentially have built two similar ones because it's listed as a "display car?"

It is indeed.

Well... I was planning on being in Colorado the week of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance but I might be making alternative plans now. I'm definitely quite intrigued by this vehicle.

Good to hear from you, friend - hope you're doing well.

Just signed up for a track weekend early next month at our local track, Hallett, with BMWCCA. Can't wait!

Good to hear from you as well. I've been doing very well. Unfortunately, due to work demands, I haven't been able to frequent, let alone, post on Oppo as much as I would like to recently. How about yourself?

Sounds great. Have you done any major modifications to your M3 since we last spoke or are you just planning on changing pads and fluids for the track day?

Be sure to post pictures.

Busy enough... Got through a crazy few weeks at work and things are getting more "normal", whatever that means. Kids will be starting school soon, as well as soccer, scouts, basketball, etc. So, free time will be at a premium again soon. If you're not aware, I've been working with DasWauto and 505Turbeaux on this project, the "Reader's Digest" of OPPO: http://oppositeblog.kinja.com/ Should be a good resource for you to see the quality stuff on OPPO without having to wade through all the chaff.

I'd planned on getting an exhaust, but since it was on backorder, I got rid of the primary cats and got a tune, like I'd been wanting to do ever since I got the car. Feels great to bring the beast to life! Did the work myself, too, which gave me a nice sense of accomplishment. http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/more-is-more-1… Still need to post pictures of the install and give a little review of the tune.

I'll make sure to take my good camera and get some good shots at the "No Excuses" event - looks like there will be lots of interesting cars from a fairly large area. I was the first participant from Oklahoma - ha!

Take care,
Dave

I can definitely remember those days. Honestly, some of the best of my life. Enjoy them because they always seem to pass too quickly.

I wasn't aware of this but am very grateful for all the effort you and the others have put into it. A great resource for sure. The passion and terrific topics are what keeping me coming back to Oppo.

I'm glad to hear that you're still enjoying your M3 and it sounds like your mods are quite effective. In addition, doing your own work always feels great. However, it's always better if you're willingly working on your car instead of having to. Haha

I look forward to your pictures and/or videos and hope that you and your family have a wonderful and productive year.

We are definitely trying to make the most of them and stretch them out as long as possible - lots of time spent today playing ball with neighbors and riding bikes.

Hopefully by the time my kids get around to owning their own cars, I'll have amassed enough know-how to pass down a decent amount to them!

Thanks for the kind words - back at you and yours.
