165k miles, recent timing belt, 5 speed manual, body straight 9/10 and rust free. Interior 6/10. Power window are all glitchy as hell but the AC blows cold. My dad is looking to sell it and asked me what it's worth. KBB says it's worth about $4000 but I've offered it up to some folks who seemed interested and I get nothing but lowball offers like $1500. This beast gets 50MPG highway, plus it rolls coal bro, surely it's worth more. What do you guys think?

$1500 is a rip off. TDIs sell, just wait for the right buyer.

Awesome! Thanks!

If you were in the pacific northwest, that thing would easily go for $4,500 within a couple days. If I were between cars I'd come get it myself.

Quattro-luvr is right, they sell well. It might be your location, too. TDIs are very desirable here (front range CO), but I know they're not very desirable in other regions. Be sure your ad is widely searchable (e.g. shows up on adhuntr, try some of the forum classifieds, etc.). Hell, if I were in an angry-at-my-truck phase at the moment I'd even be interested.

You should consider putting it on VWVortex. Those guys love the MK4 Golf!

Thanks I'll do that!

That's nuts. I put an ad up on the TDIclub forum a month ago asking $3000 and got no interest. Might be because I live in hicksville WV.
