there's a techshop in round rock, and they have a cnc mill. their fee is $175 a month, I don't know if that is worth it to you or not...

$750 sounds like a nice deal. Do not hesitate for long. But remember to check that the bed ways are still good.
My workplace has got slightly larger Emco machine. I have worked with it quite much. It has annoying much wear as it has been placed in a workshop where a lot of grinding work is done. Abrasive material dust is really bad for machinery equipment. Now it does barrel shaped surfaces when you are working near the stock.
