Fuck *someone in the oil business here* Why do we have a system where gas will make a $0.40+ jump and then have the price decrease by $0.02 or so per day until it jumps back up $0.40+. It pisses me off.

Can't talk to local fluctuation (or collusion), but it's a global commodity. Blame it on the speculators, and/or supply and demand.

When you say something like this it makes you sound like a total cry baby. $3.55 is a fucking steal. in canada we are currently sitting at $4.20/gal and that's considered pretty good. I've paid as high as $5.30/gal before.

In TX, people are complaining about 3.09 gas. However, for my relatives in Holland, gas regularly exceeds 9 USD.

I've gotten that price jump down to a science, the prices near where I work will always jump before the ones near where i live. So if I suspect that they'll jump soon I just check prices in the morning and fill up on my way to work.

I'm paying $4 or the whereabouts in Buffalo. In Toronto, I pay about 1.3/liter, which is about $4.7 a gallon. My Volvo 850 requires premium fuel :q
