Browsing Gooding & Company's catalog for their upcoming auction. There is some pretty spectacular vehicles going across the block. Estimates are a new record for sales amounts. Highlighted by a 1961 Ferrari 250 GTO and a Porsche 917K (that has now been withdrawn)
Got a few million sitting around and want to buy a nice car? Me either. Catalogue is here:

the GTO is supposedly the one car with the longest ownership by one guy. He's had it for 50 years or something ridiculous like that

I'm really excited about the RM event there. I wonder especially about the hakosuka's chances to be sold in that environment.
Also they have a Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider estimated over a MILLION DOLLARS, I mean, they were 600-700 grand five years ago, same is with the steel gullwings...

Did not know that. Does not surprise me. Those things rarely leave home.

check out RM's auction too. They're going to have a gt40 roadster prototype, a Tucker, and a Vector W8. Mecum also has a Vector. I think Goodings has a McLaren F1 and a mkI gt40 as well! Lots of good stuff

There's also a Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale up for auction; that will bring mega millions.
As well as:
Steve McQueen's Ferrari 275 GTB/4: $8-12 million estimate.
&
The only factory white McLaren F1: $12-14 million estimate.
to list a few..

WDC is definitely more in my range. PB is for guys like us to stand outside and drool over. I can identify with WDC.

Probably right. I was going off a press release that may not be right. (and apparently is not)
