So I was reading that Bugatti article on the front page and followed the link for the quickly depreciating Veyron. Holy hypercar, batman!
I think I may have realized why I never appreciated the looks of the veyron. They look really big and when you pair that with a flashy paint scheme, they end up looking goofy. But this all black one looks so incredibly sleek, especially with those wheels. I've always been a proponent that big cars only look good in black because it's slimming and this definitely lends support to that.

This car looks understated compared to most Veyrons. I think to the majority of Veyroners (read: men who are willing to pay a million dollars to get all the attention possible) a gaudy two tone paint job does the trick perfectly, and this car wouldn't say to the world know loudly enough: HEY LOOK AT ME!

The weird thing about the Veyron is that it looks big, but is actually smaller than a 911 in every dimension except width.

I like mine in silver.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of the Veyron's styling, the Pur Blanc "Panda" does look quite nice.

I can not believe that you posted that photo 25 minutes ago an no one has made a shoes comment yet.

I'm a bit shocked myself!

Dressed up for the occasion by putting shoes on? Or was it a requirement to touch the Veyron?

It's weird to think that supercars, much less hypercars actually can follow the same depreciation as a normal car.
You can get an SLR Mclaren. A vehicle known as hypercar royalty for less than 170K
Sure, it's not chump change, and it's not the 90% depreciation that some mercedes of that era face, but the fact that they can be had for a third of the original cost and with only a few tens of thousands of miles on them just puts them in a weird place that I never dreamed they'd be.

It was more a requirement to come to work. ;)
I've had jobs where I can show up barefoot, but this unfortunately isn't one of them.

Worth it still I bet. You work for VW of America right? I could see the perks balancing out in the end.
