I... at first I was like EW!... but then I looked at it again... and.... um... fuck. I kinda like it... those low lights, that gill-vent on the rear, that oval grill...and the fucking huge, tall, pontoon fenders somehow manage to work...

It'd probably not change much in the first few years, but by the mid 70's there would be at least some re-bodied Ford's sold as Ferrari's.
Plus no GT40. I shudder to think that.

More likely instead of a 512 we'd get a 588.

they would have sell it to Tata.

Ferrari would be Indian, Chinese or, most likely, gone and buried.
Ford has a terrible track record with bought brands. I am grateful for Enzo's stubbornness.

Interesting question! I used to think "well, thank Goodness Ford didn't purchase Ferrari and ruin that awesome brand!"...I have changed my opinion 180 degrees.
1. All of my favorite Ferraris (cars that I will never be able to afford anyway) were made before a theoretical acquisition by Ford (the entire 250 GT series of cars is unbelievably incredible in my opinion!...the 250 GT Lusso is the car I dream about and would do anything to own)....with the exception of the 288GTO and F40
2. If Ferrari were bought by Ford, I believe that a hypothetical modern line-up would be more appealing to a crowd like us... a) Ferrari's would still have a proper manual transmission with a third pedal b) Maybe it would be less of a marketing/brand apparel company and rather a special European performance division of Ford c) I love cars like the Focus ST and the Mustang, but imagine the benefits of owning a performance/racing division like Ferrari would have on the ST division d) Maybe the cars would be less technically advanced than they are today and a bit slower on the track, but hopefully they would be more analog focused than they are today

That would almost be as awesome! But There is just something MORE awesome about something so aristocratic as a Ferrari be making such a blue color and awesome sound!
