Lost the hearing in my right ear around 2, hasn't come back and my head is BUMPIN' something fierce. Feel ok besides for that. I am 35, no family history of early heart attacks or strokes or any crap like that. Rarely go see the doctor for anything, but I am well insured. Actually am rarely sick at all, which is why I ask. Sucks
Edit: screw it I am going. I was waiting for heliochrome to jump in actually and tell me to go, with his MD status and all. Thanks. Got to wait a bit for my ex to come take the kiddos and I will head on out.

I am the worst person to ask because I am a raging hypochondriac. If something like that happened to me, I would immediately assume I was dying. But sometimes I think I'm dying and it turns out to be allergies. Or gas.
Speaking logically though, you're probably not dying. Wondering if you maybe have an ear infection, though.

yeah its probably just a ear clogged up with wax I had this once. it can cause permanent ear damage. and it takes like 2 minutes for a nurse person to spray the crap out of your ear and then you can hear again.

go. Hearing loss is not a temporary thing over time. I work in live audio, and even little scares like this are serious business.
No WebMD, just go.

ugh my daughters have had one each in 2.5 and 5.5 years, and I have never had one in my life. Around 2 I was like wtf, was I just swimming? Then the headache came on around 5. Damn I might have to go see the doc then

Definitely go. What were you doing when it happened?

ok cool. My hearing sucks donkey balls from playing bass through 2 Ampeg SVT 8x10's, a Fender bassman 50 through 2 15's and 2 Hartke 4x10's simultaneously in a concrete room during my teens and early 20's with no protection. But this is far worse

go check it out....it's probably nothing but it could be.....EBOLA!!!!!

argh I was watching the news with the headache and thinking, just my luck it would be that. Ill tell you tomorrow if I am bleeding out or not

Difficulty hearing, headache, and ear pain are all potential signs of an ear infection (which can hurt like a sumbitch, but isn't anything to be afraid of). It can clear up on its own, but it will get better much faster with sweet, sweet antibiotics. And only your doctor can get you that. So I'd make an appointment if I were in your position.
And I'm only making an educated guess here. I'm not a doctor, at all.

Oh, great. You'll infect us all in here! (I had the problem once too, came from wearing head sets too much.)

8th grade sports physical... I won life's greatest lottery.
Had a hot doctor touch my balls.

WHAT?!!?!?!!? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!

It's probably for the best that you went.
I played the waiting game with an infection in my left ear. It cost me big. At some point the pressure blew a hole in both the inner and outer skin of the drum.
I have about 5% hearing left on that side and when it gets infected now, it happens often, the infection goes right to the bone.

Maybe bad allergies? It's ragweed season you know, I know my ears are killing me because of allergies right now. But go see a doctor, it could be something worse

Suggestion:
If you see this before you go, and it is an ear or sinus infection, ask for Cipro (if it's safe for you).
Hope you feel better soon!

its probably nothing, but worth getting checked out for sure. you're too young to be having sensory deficits.

Try some Hydrogen Peroxide rinse in that ear & see what comes out, if it's blocked up & inflamed it can hurt & turn red. Sounds like a jet aircraft taking off in your ear, but works great. Otherwise, get it checked out f'sho!

As a man, it's our nature to wait it out, but glad you went. Hope it's nothing serious.

I am also too young to have arthritis in my hands (20 yo when it started) and need a new knee, but those things are the damn truth. I destroyed my ears through years of playing punk rock

Oppo, should I go to the doctor?
This might be one of those, "if you have to ask Oppo...then yes" things.
Please take care of yourself.
