Exercise Pitch Black is the Royal Australian Air Force's largest and most complex air exercise, traditionally held in the Northern Territory every two years.
Exercise Pitch Black is being conducted from RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal August 1-22 2014, featuring participants from Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and French Armed Forces in New Caledonia who will cooperate for Offensive Counter Air (OCA) and Defensive Counter Air (DCA) missions.
For the readers down under, keep an eye to the sky between and around Darwin Air Force Base and Tindal Air force Base Katherine and catch a glimpse of some elite fighter aircraft including, F/A-18s, F-15s, C-130, B-52, and more.
