So I've been running for the past week and I feel like I might need some actual running shoes as opposed to my puma fast cats. Well lo and behold I found these for $100 and needless to say I'm very tempted

Evangelion? As in Neon Genesis Evangelion?

...I am so jealous of how relatively cheap men's clothing and shoes are.

Sorry, can't help you... Good running shoes are a great investment if you plan on really taking up running. Bad shoes are part of the reason why I stopped myself, and I'll pick a pair tomorrow afternoon, so do it!

I know right? That's killed crossdressing for me! Wait, what?

My running shoes are Nike and cost about $50. They've been good enough that I'm onto my second pair.

Want to make the average guy buy something? Price it cheaper than the competition.

That's because most guys don't really care too much about clothes.

Just a warning, but distance running has been shown to lower testosterone levels. I've noticed my voice get deeper a bit after I switched to primarily lifting/light cardio.

I'm thinking most women don't care too much about Canadian-safety-spec work boots either, and the cheapest ones I could find were $180.

stop running in puma fast cats. they are good for walking, maybe a little soccer and driving, that's about it. I recommend going to a real running store and getting fitted for a shoe that fits your stride

You're in Detroit, right? Find a Mark's Work Wearhouse (do they have those in the states?) in Windsor (if you're heading over for some reason anyway). Should be able to find some there for ~$100-$125 US - they have sales regularly.

Seconded. They'll look at the way you (Alex) run and they'll suggest several options to try out. You might pay a bit more but it's worth it for the service. Then you can buy a second pair at a box store once you've got a set you like.

Thanks for the heads' up, but I had to buy them in November for work, so the corporate card covered it :)

I was trying to say the way you run, but it came out as stride.
I love the local running shoe store. They help organize races, run a running camp( for xc teams), and have a timing service for cross country and track. plus they have a ten percent discount if you run for a local school

If that was true, I'd have a sweet mustache by now.

Have you bought them yet?
