I was strolling by this garage and I saw this exquisite lineup of unwanted classics. The Alfa in particular called to me. Guessing from the vin tag, it's a 1978, has fuel injection and remarkably rust free! I've been looking for a little Italian sportser for a while now and this one seems like a prime candidate. Anyone know what these cars are worth?

And I have a wizard-like Italian mechanic who works for nickels on the dollar so fixing and maintaining it won't be a huge deal for me. How do these compare performance-wise with Fiat 124 spiders of similar years?

They are a little better performance wise. They go from $4000-$6000. I believe that the carbureted ones are better but that is my opinion.

92hp, british assembly and those looks... I can't think of a redeeming feature honestly.

Do it! These had Twin Cam engines, didn't they? Hearing a Twin Cam screaming at the top of its lungs through the redline is priceless.

Just not a fan of the TR7. Mainly the back end, the convertible (with the top down) is a little better than the hardtop though. There's just so many prettier old british sports cars, I'd go for a spitfire myself.

And that equals fun as long as it isn't a Miata.

Go for the Alfa Romeo, you will get the most attention from the chicks with it (when it is running). Make sure you set aside thousands and thousands of dollars for maintenance and repair and you will have a great time with the Alfa.
